Some things to include on your trip include: reading materials, outerwear & footwear for the seasonal outdoor elements, cash/credit cards or traveller's checks, an umbrella, camera, GPS or maps, contact lenses or glasses (if necessary), sunglasses, cellular phone, and other desired items to make your vacation more enjoyable.
It is important to recognize the climate, the environment, and even the culture of where you may be travelling to in your vacation destination. If you travel to the mountains, you might consider what kind of vehicle you are driving or how much cooler it will be at higher elevations. If you travel to the beach, you may want to consider bringing extra sunscreen and moisturizer, as well as sandals and beach towels. Don't forget your sunglasses!
